Splatica × Opteran: zero-shot robot deployment from a 3D reconstruction
What if you could deploy an autonomous robot to a site it has never seen before? We teamed up with Opteran to test exactly that — zero-shot deployment based on Splatica 3D reconstruction. We could not be prouder of this collaboration. 🙌
Our 3D reconstruction technology is now validated by one of the most innovative names in autonomous navigation. We've proven that a Splatica reconstruction can be part of a real-world robotics deployment pipeline.
Opteran builds navigation systems inspired by insect intelligence — robust, infrastructure-free, and built to handle the unpredictability of the real world. Their bar for what “deployment-ready” means is high. Together, we built a Real-Sim-Real workflow based on Splatica capture.
How it works
Using an Insta360 camera and full native support from Splatica, any environment can be digitised in minutes and turned into a photorealistic, simulation-ready 3D twin. From there, Opteran's stack is mapped, tested in NVIDIA Isaac Sim, and transferred to the robot.
Same day. No LiDAR. No specialist teams.
We're pulling back the curtain on the full workflow — there's a video that walks through exactly what we did (we'll add it here).
